fascinating marine life. Our staff is knowledgeable about marine life and has had the privilege

The colorful
male Dwarf Gourami is always a favorite aquarium fish. Featuring
iridescent coloration and a pleasant disposition,
this popular aquarium fish from Asia is almost always on display on our pet store.
Guppies
come in an amazing array of colors and patterns. In many areas,
competitions between guppy breeders will be held. The male has more elaborate fins and coloration. The female is the larger
of the two, and is better adapted for the job of procreation than her
fanciful male counterpart.
The Plecostomus is a popular algae eating catfish for the aquarium. It has a powerful sucking mouth that can extract the algae growing on anything in your aquarium.
The can grow to a considerable size, with some specimens exceeding two feet! Often customers will bring in oversized plecos in order to trade them in on smaller ones. The are
a hardy fish that tolerate a wide range of water conditions, and fair reasonably well in "cold water" tanks of goldfish but prefer the warmer water of a tropical aquarium.
The Black Molly is a beautiful live bearing aquarium fish found in many tanks. These peaceful fish
come from areas of brackish water, and will generally benefit from a little aquarium (non-iodized) salt in the water.
This fish is often bred in the aquarium. It low price and easy reproductive
potential make it a perennial favorite.

One of the most popular miniature freshwater aquarium setups is
simply a gallon bowl with a male Betta.
This famous Siamese Fighting Fish must be kept
singly. Two or more Bettas together will fight and possibly destroy each other. These fresh water
fish can breath air as well as extract oxygen from the water. So, with regular fish tank
cleaning, no other equipment is required. Just food and water. These colorful fish live 1 -2 years
typically.
Gold Fish are another very popular fish. Although they have been kept in bowls, the truth is the needs of a goldfish are relative great, and placing them in a fishtank without the proper filtration and aeration equipment will not be good for them. We also usually have a nice selection of Koi
Angelfish are stately, graceful denizens of the Amazon. Long popular as an aquarium fish. While a member of the cichlid family, they tend to be on the less aggressive side of this group that includes Jack Dempseys, Oscars, and Red Devils. They lay eggs on a leaf or log, and mind their young. These fish are often raised by hobbyists. the fry will eat newly hatched brine shrimp. We have kits to help you with this. There are many interesting color varieties available.
